X-Plant Electrical Rework Technician

About the role

Airbus is seeking an X‑Plant Electrical Rework Technician to join its Mobile Manufacturing Team. The role involves performing a range of electrical rework and repair tasks on aircraft, from minor modifications to complex repairs, in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute non‑standard electrical work such as wire changes, harness modifications, bonding, crimping, pinning, splicing, system exchanges and component replacements.
• Perform self‑inspections and delegated inspections in line with qualification profiles and work order requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering to define rework solutions, review drawings and procedures, and ensure compliance with production orders and safety regulations.
• Operate specialized equipment including overhead cranes, cherry‑pickers, scissor lifts, forklifts and lifting platforms while following OSHA and environmental rules.
• Document tasks according to Airbus procedures and contribute to continuous improvement and problem‑solving initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience with aircraft electrical systems and rework, or equivalent.
• Ability to work autonomously in a team, follow safety protocols and handle work in confined spaces, at height or wet‑tank environments.
• Willingness to support FAL operations and coordinate with various functions for safe aircraft access.

Required skills

• Electrical system rework and troubleshooting.
• Wire and harness modification, crimping, pinning and splicing.
• Use of overhead crane, cherry‑picker, scissor lift, forklift and lifting platform.
• Compliance with OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.
