Wire Harness Design Engineer – EWIS Specialist

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking an experienced Wire Harness Design Engineer to lead the development of Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) architectures for marine platforms. You will create detailed schematics and 3‑D harness models that serve as manufacturing blueprints, ensuring compliance with industry and military standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EWIS schematics, architecture diagrams, and assembly drawings using Zuken E3.
• Route harnesses in 3‑D with NX CAD, adhering to design and installation standards.
• Review and revise designs for EMC/EMI, current‑carrying capacity, voltage drop, and environmental requirements.
• Apply standards such as IPC/WHMA‑A‑620, ABYC, ABS, and relevant MIL‑STDs throughout the design process.
• Provide technical support during harness construction, factory testing, and vessel integration, leading root‑cause analysis for non‑conformances.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities, documenting results for quality audits.
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and production teams to ensure build readiness and mitigate schedule risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in EWIS design, harness engineering, or electrical integration within automotive, marine, or aerospace sectors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
