Welder – TIG & MIG Specialist for MRI Manufacturing

About the role

This is your opportunity to obtain a dynamic and rewarding career at the Philips Latham, New York site where magnetic resonance imaging magnets are manufactured. You will be responsible for completing high‑quality TIG and MIG welds and using precision instruments in a cryogenic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality TIG and MIG welds, including vacuum‑tight welds on aluminum.
• Cut, bend, drill, tap, and carry out other fabrication operations for intricate cryogenic assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and supporting documentation.
• Operate bridge cranes and forklift trucks, and sign off documentation as required.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of welding experience with mechanical assembly tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet physical, cognitive and environmental job requirements.
• U.S. work authorization and residence within commuting distance of Latham, NY.
