Weekly Childcare Teacher – Part-time (Fall & Spring)

About the role

The Weekly Childcare Teacher ensures each child's safety and well‑being while sharing Christ’s love in a nurturing, fun environment. This part‑time seasonal role supports children’s emotional, social and physical needs during the fall and spring semesters. The teacher also serves as a positive role model for staff, parents, and children.

Key responsibilities

• Share Christ’s love with children in a nurturing, safe, fun environment.
• Engage children in activities and stimulating play.
• Manage the classroom using positive feedback, encouragement, and redirection.
• Teach the provided Bible lesson and assist children with related crafts.
• Supervise snack time and playground activities, ensuring safety.
• Assist children with restroom use, hand washing, and diaper changing as needed.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding the child’s day and any concerns.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and well‑maintained.

Required profile

• Be a Christian who loves Jesus and desires to serve Him at all times.
• Possess a warm, friendly personality and sensitivity to the feelings and needs of children.
• Have a clear Live Scan and criminal background check.
• Be willing to complete mandated reporting training.
• Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children.
