Weekend Diagnostic Ultrasound & Vascular Technologist

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a weekend Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Registered Vascular Technologist to perform ultrasound and vascular examinations at its Gilbertsville location. The role offers independent judgment, the use of advanced imaging equipment, and the opportunity to contribute to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on various vascular systems according to physician specifications and established protocols.
• Assist with specialized exams such as vascular studies and procedures using advanced imaging techniques.
• Maintain quality control, participate in quality‑improvement activities, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate imaging parameters and protocols with radiologists and assist in protocol review and revision.
• Obtain and verify patient consents before imaging and prepare images for radiologist interpretation.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved CAHEA diagnostic medical sonography program and in good standing with ARDMS.
• Ability to reason logically, assess performance, and handle confidential medical information ethically.
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and perform patient transfers.
