Radiology Supervisor

About the role

The Radiology Supervisor leads a team of technologists in delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging services at Lehigh Valley Health Network's Gilbertsville facility. This role ensures compliance with departmental policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technologists during imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to workflows, protocols, and customer service standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and orientation/training programs, including performance evaluations and competency assessments.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, quality control, and supply inventory to maintain department quality standards.
• Implement new imaging protocols and assist the Director with staffing, morale, and disciplinary issues.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma, Associate’s Degree, or equivalent in medical imaging or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a diagnostic imaging setting.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information ethically and manage stress effectively.
• Strong logical thinking, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Performing diagnostic imaging procedures and operating radiation‑producing equipment.
• Equipment maintenance, quality control, and inventory management.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and American Heart Association (AHA) training.
• Professional certifications such as RT (Registered Technologist Radiology), RN (Registered Nurse), PA (Physician Assistant), or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) as applicable.
