Water Restoration Project Manager / Estimator

About the role

The Restoration Project Manager and Estimator oversees restoration projects from initial inspection and damage assessment through estimating, project execution and completion. The role combines project management, field operations, insurance estimating, team leadership and customer service, and covers residential and commercial property restoration for water, fire, smoke, wind and other damage. It is a full-time position based in Cedar Park.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from inspection through completion, including damage assessment, mitigation, drying, demolition and reconstruction coordination, and develop work plans with crew chiefs and lead technicians.
• Conduct onsite inspections and prepare, review and revise accurate mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate, evaluating labor, materials, equipment, repairs and costs in line with IICRC standards, company procedures and insurance carrier requirements.
• Maintain complete project records (photos, job notes, signed documents, drying records, billable activities) and use mobile apps and operating systems to support invoicing and insurance reimbursement.
• Act as primary liaison between customers, insurance companies, adjusters and internal teams, giving timely updates on status, scope changes, estimate revisions and timelines.
• Supervise and support restoration technicians, promote quality workmanship and ensure compliance with job-site safety requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Experience in property restoration, insurance restoration, construction estimating or a related field.
• Hands-on Xactimate experience, demonstrated during screening; applicants without it will not be considered.
• Proficiency with tablets, mobile devices and project documentation software.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Availability for on-call rotations, after-hours needs and emergency response.
• Preferred certifications: WRT, ASD, FSRT, OCT.
