Wage Agency Instructor – Education Initiatives

About the role

The Wage Agency Instructor delivers TEEX’s Bleeding Control/Stop the Bleed course, Kata in the Classroom, and Career Exploration presentations to youth learners in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role combines classroom and field instruction, leveraging knowledge of juvenile learning styles to maximize learner success.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct the Bleeding Control/Stop the Bleed course, Kata in the Classroom, and Career Exploration sessions.
• Provide classroom and field instruction, technical assistance, and use various media to present course material.
• Modify and update curriculum content as needed to meet learner needs.
• Ensure overall effectiveness of course instruction and learner outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• At least two years of experience teaching youth education, including First Aid.
• Current or former experience as an EMR, EMT, Paramedic, Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement Officer, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, or MD/DO.
• Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• CPR Instructor certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Residency in Nueces County, Texas.
