Voting Systems Generalist – Georgia State Government

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Voting Systems Generalist to join the Information Technology – Voting Systems team. Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will provide operational, technical, and training support to county election offices across the state, helping ensure secure and efficient elections.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate statewide election readiness activities and support election day operations.
• Assist with equipment validation, acceptance testing, and in‑house ballot building.
• Provide technical assistance to county election officials and troubleshoot voting system issues.
• Deliver training programs, create user guides, SOPs, and maintain reference documentation.
• Maintain accurate voting system inventory and support asset management.
• Participate in post‑election reviews, audits, and equipment reconciliation.
• Serve as liaison between counties, vendors, and the Secretary of State’s Office.

Required profile

• Experience providing operational, technical, and training support for election technology.
• Strong communication skills to interact with county officials, vendors, and state leadership.
• Ability to manage inventory, coordinate testing, and support rollout of technology upgrades.
