Vital Records Data Quality Analyst I

About the role

The Vital Records Data Quality Analyst I supports data‑quality assurance, reporting, record matching, and recurring data exchanges for Georgia's vital records program. Working under established procedures, the analyst uses SQL, Excel and reporting tools to prepare accurate and secure information while protecting confidential data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data‑quality checks, record matching, and information fulfillment for birth, death, fetal‑death, marriage and divorce records.
• Generate reports and support recurring data exchanges using SQL, Excel and visualization tools.
• Maintain controlled data operations and ensure confidentiality of personally identifiable information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in public health, health information management, informatics, data analytics, information systems, business administration, statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Coursework, internship or practical experience with SQL, Excel, analytics, reporting, databases, or public‑health data.
• Exposure to Tableau or another visualization platform, record matching, data‑quality work, structured files, testing, or regulated records.
