Visitor Services Cashier – Garvan Woodland Gardens

About the role

The Visitor Services Cashier supports the Garvan Woodland Gardens by handling guest transactions, providing information, and ensuring a smooth visitor experience. This temporary, fixed‑term position is part of the University of Arkansas staff and works directly with the public in an onsite setting.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, credit, and ticket sales for garden visitors.
• Answer guest inquiries about garden amenities, events, and policies.
• Maintain accurate cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions.
• Assist with the sale of merchandise and promotional items.
• Support opening and closing procedures for the visitor services area.

Required profile

• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail for cash handling and record keeping.
• Customer‑focused attitude with good communication skills.
