Visiting Student – Research Support Internship

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Visiting Student to support ongoing research studies within the ICHI | CW Research 1 department. This short‑term, on‑site internship offers hands‑on experience in data collection, analysis, and regulatory documentation in a clinical research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and enter research data, clean datasets, and perform basic analysis (≈20%).
• Assist with administrative preparation of events, educational materials, and presentations (≈20%).
• Coordinate project timelines, schedule meetings, and maintain documentation (≈15%).
• Support IRB submission processes, protocol development, and related paperwork (≈20%).
• Write, edit, and proofread research documents and reports (≈15%).
• Participate in community events and other duties as assigned (≈10%).

Required profile

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, in a health‑related or research field.
• Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or holds an approved exemption.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to attend scheduled meetings, community events, and on‑site activities.
