Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences (Two Open Positions)

About the role

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Arkansas seeks two Visiting Assistant Professors to join the faculty for a fixed‑term academic appointment. The successful candidates will contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activities in mathematics.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematical sciences.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and research matters.
• Engage in scholarly research and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
• Participate in departmental service, committees, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field completed or near completion.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
