Vice President, Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income

About the role

Everest Global Services is seeking a Vice President and Portfolio Manager to lead the active management of its investment‑grade fixed‑income portfolio. Reporting to the SVP and Head of Fixed Income, you will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and the broader investment team to generate net investment income while adhering to risk, ALM and guideline constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Generate excess returns above benchmark and maintain stable net investment income within risk and guideline limits.
• Develop and execute fixed‑income alpha ideas, coordinate trading across internal and external managers, and report performance.
• Produce regular market overviews and portfolio summaries for senior management.
• Conduct ongoing credit surveillance, maintain a credit watchlist, and provide escalation recommendations.
• Lead manager searches (RFP/RFQ), perform due‑diligence and performance monitoring of external managers.
• Support the launch of new portfolios or strategies, including implementation planning.
• Collaborate with treasury and finance to align portfolio positioning with asset‑liability management objectives.
• Drive investment information‑systems initiatives to improve data, tooling and reporting workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in fixed‑income investing, preferably with a corporate credit focus.
• MBA or CFA designation is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
