About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead construction activities across multiple projects and business units. This senior, strategic leader will drive operational excellence, improve profitability, and support the company’s growth trajectory.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day construction operations across several regions and projects.
• Lead project management and field operations teams to ensure successful execution.
• Develop and implement strategies that boost efficiency, profitability, and overall performance.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to keep projects on track.
• Ensure safe delivery of projects on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on growth initiatives and operational planning.
• Mentor operational leaders, project executives, and senior staff.
• Review financial performance, forecasting, and operational reporting.
• Drive accountability, quality standards, and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• 15+ years of construction experience with progressive operational leadership responsibility.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale construction operations or multiple business units.
• Strong background in project management, field operations, and business development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams and manage organizational growth.
• Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
