Vice President of Sales

About the role

iHeartMedia Markets is looking for a Vice President of Sales in Providence, RI. The VP leads a team of Account Executives and drives revenue growth across the market, turning strategy into action through performance management, new business development, client relationship strengthening and cross-department collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage local Account Executives to meet and exceed station revenue, prospecting and new business targets
• Oversee advertising sales in the assigned market and control sales expenses
• Manage team performance and hold the team accountable against business metrics
• Translate market and station strategies into actions that generate sales and revenue
• Set sales goals, prepare budgets and revenue forecasts, and allocate resources
• Oversee advertising inventory to drive the most profitable sales
• Meet with key accounts and recruit, hire and train Account Executives
• Review and adjust sales territories, product mix targets and call lists
• Guide other functions such as marketing, advertising, production, traffic and sales operations

Required profile

• 3+ years' experience as an Account Executive or Sales Manager in the media industry with a proven track record
• College degree preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of broadcasting, marketing, promotion and collection standards
• Proven ability to grow new business and build long-term customer relationships
