Vice President of Institutional Advancement

About the role

The Vice President of Institutional Advancement will lead the fundraising and advancement efforts of Augusta Technical College, driving the college’s strategic growth and supporting its mission to serve over 10 million Georgians. Reporting directly to the President, this senior executive will act as the chief advocate for the institution, building lasting relationships with donors, alumni, industry partners, and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy aligned with the college’s strategic plan.
• Lead major‑gift fundraising, capital campaigns, and annual giving initiatives.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and alumni.
• Oversee the Augusta Tech Foundation’s operations, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
• Expand corporate relations, foundation engagement, and planned‑giving programs.
• Provide strategic counsel to the President and senior leadership on advancement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in institutional fundraising, preferably in higher education.
• Demonstrated success securing major gifts and leading capital campaigns.
• Strong leadership and collaborative skills, with the ability to work closely with the President and board.
• Excellent communication and public‑speaking abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of building sustainable donor pipelines.
