Vice President of Finance

About the role

Patch is an AI‑native climate‑services firm that trades carbon, sustainable aviation fuel, renewable energy and renewable natural gas across multiple currencies. The company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to own the end‑to‑end finance and legal function and act as the closest operating partner to the CEO and Founder.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations including FP&A, treasury, cash and FX management, revenue recognition, month‑end close, audit and internal controls across ~10 currencies and multiple entities.
• Build and maintain the financial model used by the Board, lenders and senior leadership.
• Oversee legal and regulatory matters in the US, UK and EU, including commercial contracting, corporate governance, entity management and coordination with outside counsel.
• Drive M&A activities: source targets, conduct due diligence, structure deals and integrate acquisitions.
• Serve as the primary finance partner to the CEO, providing strategic insight and operational support.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in multi‑currency, multi‑entity environments.
• Hands‑on experience with commodity‑related transactions and complex revenue streams.
• Demonstrated ability to design and scale a modern finance function, preferably in an AI‑driven or high‑growth setting.
• Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks across the US, UK and EU.
• Track record of leading successful M&A transactions.
