Vice President, Clinical Development

About the role

Servier is seeking a visionary leader to head a substantial portion of its oncology portfolio. Reporting to the Global Head of Oncology Clinical Development, the Vice President will guide programs from first‑in‑human through registration and lifecycle management. This role combines strategic oversight with operational excellence in a highly matrixed global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive clinical development strategy for adult solid tumor programs and contribute to broader oncology pipeline decisions.
• Provide executive oversight of end‑to‑end clinical programs, ensuring scientific rigor, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration across research, translational medicine, regulatory, safety, operations, commercial, and alliance teams.
• Develop senior clinical leaders, set performance standards, and build sustainable organizational capability.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D.) with board certification or eligibility in Oncology, preferably Medical Oncology.
• 12+ years of progressive oncology drug development experience, including 5+ years in mid‑large pharma with late‑stage and registrational leadership.
• Proven enterprise‑level leadership, sound clinical judgment, and decision‑making across complex portfolios.
• Deep expertise in adult solid tumors; broader oncology experience is a plus.
• Experience operating in a global, highly matrixed environment with senior governance representation.

What we offer

• Salary range $342,000 – $433,000 per year, with eligibility for short‑term and long‑term incentive programs.
