Utility Operator – Birmingham Service Division

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Utility Operator to join our Birmingham Service Division. The role involves cleaning, stripping, and painting AC/DC motor parts throughout the repair process, using a variety of specialized equipment while adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Clean internal and external motor components such as frames, cores, armatures, gears, and housings using steam cleaners, parts washers, sand‑blasters, and other equipment.
• Operate specialized repair equipment including dip tanks, VPI systems, burnout and bake‑out ovens, and handheld power tools.
• Handle material movement with forklifts, fork trucks, and cranes to deliver and store motors and parts.
• Paint repaired and assembled motors before shipping to customers and maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.

Required profile

• Ability to perform stripping operations on AC/DC motor parts and related equipment.
• Proficiency in operating material‑handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Consistent adherence to safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Capability to follow documented procedures accurately.
