Underground Utility Crew – Water, Sewer & Storm

About the role

3 Forks Services is seeking experienced Underground Utility Crew members to install and maintain critical water, sewer, and storm drainage systems in the Bakken Operations. The role demands long hours, teamwork, and a strong safety focus.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain underground water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
• Perform deep excavations, align and grade pipes using lasers and grade instruments.
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers.
• Collaborate with crew to dig trenches, lay pipe/conduit, backfill, and compact soil.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and confined‑space entry procedures.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL preferred.
• Proven experience installing water, sewer, and storm services.
• Physical stamina to lift 50+ lb, climb ladders, and work in varied weather.
• Commitment to safety, including trench safety and utility locating.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pipe lasers, line‑and‑grade equipment.
• Fusion welding skills (HDPE experience a plus).
• Operation of heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, trenchers).
