UI/UX Designer - Figma (Part-Time)

About the role

A custom software and AI development studio is looking for a UI/UX designer to lead end-to-end design, from user flows to pixel-perfect interfaces, for custom software and AI products. The role is part-time (about 20 work hours per week) and based in Chatham, MA, with a flexible schedule. It suits someone with at least 3 years of UI/UX experience and strong Figma skills, and there is potential to grow into a full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Design intuitive, visually compelling user interfaces for custom web applications and software products
• Create detailed screen layouts and user flows for app development projects, including AI-powered tools
• Develop logos, branding assets and visual identity materials as needed
• Work closely with the development team so designs are feasible and aligned with technical requirements
• Maintain design consistency and a polished user experience across multiple projects

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in UI/UX design
• Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio showing app and software interface work
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Bonus: experience designing interfaces for AI-powered or data-driven products, a background in branding or logo design, and prior collaboration with software development teams in an agile or iterative environment

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Figma as a primary design tool
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude to boost productivity
