UI Architect – Hybrid (New York)

About the role

The UI Architect will be based in New York, working a hybrid schedule with three days onsite per week. The role is responsible for defining front‑end architecture, creating reusable components, and leading the UI development team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive front‑end architecture using React.js and best design practices.
• Create reusable UI components and implement micro‑frontend strategies.
• Collaborate with back‑end engineers to ensure smooth API integration with Java/Spring Boot services.
• Implement and enforce coding standards, design guidelines, and UI performance benchmarks.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD processes for front‑end deployments.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to the UI development team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of UI development experience, including 3+ years in an architectural role.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a UI development team.

Required skills

• React.js, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Java/Spring Boot integration, RESTful APIs
• State management (Redux, Context API)
• Build tools: Webpack, Babel
• Testing libraries: Jest, Cypress
• Docker, Git
• Accessibility standards and responsive design
• Experience with micro‑frontend architectures (preferred)
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) (preferred)
