Transportation Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Transportation Manager to join our team in Dulles, VA. In this role you will oversee regional service provider performance, ensure operational compliance, manage stakeholder logistics needs, provide specialized solutions for complex cargo, and represent the region in global transport projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review the performance of Transport Service Providers (3PLs/Integrators) to ensure adherence to global SLAs, cost targets and quality standards.
• Oversee high‑level execution of shipments for EMEA sites, act as escalation point and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations such as EU customs and Brexit requirements.
• Serve as the dedicated Transport Partner for regional Sales, Customer Order Desk and Warehouse Operations, translating local needs into logistics solutions.
• Provide expertise for complex flows, including Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and project cargo, resolving operational hurdles quickly.
• Represent the region in global transport projects, ensuring regional requirements are incorporated and sharing best practices with Europe and APAC counterparts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience in transportation management, freight forwarding or logistics management.
• Proven track record in a transportation environment and project‑management expertise.
• Ability to communicate complex logistics issues to non‑logistics stakeholders.
• CPL and CTL certifications preferred but not required.
