Training Officer

About the role

The Department of Operational Support is seeking a Training Officer to design, develop, implement and evaluate the Umoja training programme and related capacity‑building projects. Reporting to the Chief of the Business Processes and Systems Support Section, the incumbent will work closely with subject‑matter experts and stakeholders to ensure training aligns with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and evaluate the Umoja training programme in coordination with SMEs.
• Analyse training needs, develop e‑learning content and instructional material.
• Monitor delivery of training projects, review documentation and ensure follow‑up actions.
• Conduct training surveys, interpret data and prepare recommendations.
• Coordinate training projects within organisational learning programmes, focusing on capacity development.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of training solutions and suggest improvements.
• Deliver workshops and Training‑of‑Trainers events in collaboration with clients.
• Promote e‑learning and knowledge‑management platforms for online training delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders on training initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and interpret survey data.
• Experience delivering workshops and training‑of‑trainers sessions.
• Ability to manage multiple training projects and ensure timely follow‑up.
