Training Intern – E‑learning Development

About the role

The Department of Peace Operations is seeking a Training Intern to support the Integrated Training Service in developing e‑learning and training materials for UN peacekeeping missions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating short e‑learning courses from existing training content.
• Prepare scenarios, scripts, storyboards, quizzes and other learning activities.
• Edit images, audio and video for online courses and build modules using Articulate or similar tools.
• Review, test and update courses, ensuring quality and accessibility.
• Maintain a national trainer roster database and organize multimedia files.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed the final year of a bachelor’s degree, or a graduate program (master’s/Ph.D.) in learning design, education technology, digital media, communications, or related fields.
• No professional work experience required; familiarity with e‑learning authoring tools and basic multimedia editing is needed.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of French or another UN language is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
• Ability to draft scripts, storyboards, scenarios and interactive learning activities.
• Basic image, audio and video editing skills.
• Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI, Excel or similar digital tools.
