Trailer Mechanic – Diesel Maintenance (3rd Shift)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to join its Lumberton, NC service center. The role involves day‑to‑day maintenance of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related equipment on a 3rd‑shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Maintain trailer components such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed.
• Use the Cetaris system to manage work orders and documentation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with preventive maintenance on Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and possess own tools.
