Trade Credit Services Analyst - Account Origination

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring an Analyst, Trade Credit Services in Pennant Park, NJ, to manage and service commercial credit customers in the Pro Trade Credit program. The role covers setting up credit lines, receivables management, customer service and payment and dispute resolution. It reports to the Area Supervisor Trade Credit Services, has no direct reports and typically involves less than 5% overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Collections and disputes (25%): maintain accurate collection status records, recommend when accounts go to outside agencies or attorneys, resolve customer disputes and delinquent accounts, and propose plans of action for timely payment.
• Customer service (25%): communicate directly with customers and internal sales associates or leadership on credit and collection matters, verbally and in writing.
• Drive results (25%): meet the operational goals and objectives of the role within the team.
• Credit management (25%): perform judgmental underwriting for commercial customers' credit needs, manage receivables and mitigate potential losses through sound credit strategies.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• At least 1 year of work experience.
• Preferred: consumer and commercial credit underwriting experience, credit risk management experience, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
