Tire Mechanic – Full‑Time, $28/hr

About the role
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Tire Mechanics at our Kansas City, MO Service Center. Preferred candidates will be able to lift up to 125 lb, work in a fast‑paced environment and change, repair and maintain tractor‑trailer tires with ease.
Key responsibilities
- Change and repair tires on Class 8 fleet vehicles.
- Perform service calls on the road using a service truck.
- Identify wheel types and apply proper fasteners.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of commercial tire experience.
- Ability to lift 125 lb and stand on concrete for extended periods.
- Current operator’s license, clean driving record and basic DOT tire knowledge.
Required skills
- Mount and dismount truck and car tires.
- Operate truck balancer and 1' air wrench.
- Use basic hand tools and identify retread vs. new tires.
What we offer
- Earn up to $28.05 per hour.
- Full‑time schedule, Monday‑Friday.
- One week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
