About the role
Northeastern University’s College of Arts, Media and Design seeks an interdisciplinary faculty member to advance AI‑mediated telepresence research and teaching, beginning in the 2027‑2028 academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in AI‑mediated telepresence and related interdisciplinary subjects.
- Mentor students at all levels, including supervising research projects and theses.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program that attracts external funding and industry partnerships.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree (e.g., MFA, M.Arch) in a relevant field by the start date.
- Demonstrated potential to secure external research funding and, for associate/full ranks, minimum 5/10 years of relevant experience.
- Interest in joint appointments across CAMD, BCHS, Khoury College, or Engineering.
