Temporary Registered Nurse for Youth Residential Program in Manhattan, KS

About the role

PsyPhyCare is seeking a temporary Registered Nurse to provide on‑site medical and wellness services for a federally supported residential youth program serving young adults ages 16‑24 in Manhattan, KS.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging urgent and emergent medical situations and providing first aid.
• Conducting clinical assessments, administering medications, and assisting with examinations.
• Monitoring students with chronic health conditions and maintaining medical documentation.
• Coordinating referrals, follow‑up care, and tracking laboratory results, immunizations, and regulatory compliance.
• Delivering individual and group health education sessions and maintaining medical supply inventories.
• Providing staff training on health topics and collaborating with community healthcare partners.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Kansas.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in clinical, school‑based, residential, or community health settings.
• Experience working with adolescents or young adults preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Required skills

• Medication administration and preparation.
