Temporary Assistant Community Manager

About the role

The Temporary Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a stabilized, garden‑style apartment community of 280 units. This onsite role involves daily accounting tasks, resident interactions, and supervision of on‑site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges, and coordinate payments.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Supervise on‑site staff in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and make‑ready tasks.
• Support owner relations through tours, performance updates, and responding to requests.
• Assist leasing efforts by greeting prospects, showing units, and processing applications.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in property or residence management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Understanding of lease terms, collections, and eviction processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail‑oriented work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.).
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to use internet, spreadsheet, and database management tools.

• Hourly pay range $25.00‑$27.00.
