Technology Audit Lead

About the role

Column is a regulated bank and software company seeking a high‑agency audit professional to own the end‑to‑end audit lifecycle for technology, security, core banking and fintech risk. The role is based in the Presidio office in San Francisco and reports to the Head of Internal Audit.

Key responsibilities

• Design, lead and execute full‑cycle audits across core banking, technology, compliance, payments, cards and API infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain a risk‑based audit plan tailored to a software‑driven regulated bank.
• Partner with Engineering and Information Security to audit SDLC, data protection, IAM, cloud infrastructure and AI usage.
• Audit third‑party risk management and fintech partner oversight against regulatory expectations.
• Leverage data analytics and AI to identify emerging risks and automate testing.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of audit, risk or compliance experience in banking, fintech, consulting or technology.
• Hands‑on audit experience in a cloud‑native environment (AWS IAM, CI/CD, Terraform, secrets management).
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML, sanctions, and core banking regulations (OCC, FRB, FDIC).
• Ability to build trust quickly with engineers, senior leadership and regulators.
