Technical Trainer – Global Technical Learning Center

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join its Global Technical Learning Center in Albany, NY. You will develop and deliver world‑class technical training for internal staff and customers, covering advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach technical training classes covering theory and hands‑on skills on advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at the Global Technical Learning Center in Albany, NY.
• Develop, update and deliver classroom and lab courses, certification programs, and online learning modules.
• Support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of training equipment and lab tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure training content reflects the latest technology advancements.
• Manage multiple projects, lead cross‑functional teams and mentor junior instructors.
• Travel domestically and internationally to present customized training at customer sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military training/experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, field service or technical training.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
• Strong presentation, communication and facilitation skills for diverse technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
