About the role
The High School/Secondary Education Initiatives Coordinator will support Albany Technical College in expanding dual‑enrollment opportunities for high‑school, homeschool and private‑school students across several counties. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment or VP of Student Affairs, the coordinator will act as a bridge between secondary schools, the college, and community partners to facilitate seamless education pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and manage dual‑enrollment program admissions, providing clear information to students, parents, and schools.
- Coordinate recruitment, outreach, advisement, admissions, and course registration activities.
- Monitor academic progress of dual‑enrolled students and report to secondary‑education officials.
- Administer the Accuplacer college‑entrance exam and handle related logistics.
- Collect, analyze, and report on dual‑enrollment participation data.
- Order and manage textbooks, ensuring accurate student accounts.
- Serve as liaison with educational, industrial, and community partners to foster partnerships.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of college admission and financial‑aid policies.
- Understanding of high‑school and college calendars, registration processes, and graduation requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, schools, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate logistics, data collection, and reporting.
Required skills
- Familiarity with dual‑enrollment program structures.
- Experience with academic data analysis.
- Proficiency in coordinating textbook orders and managing student accounts.
