Technical Support Consultant for Aeromedical Evacuation Training

About the role

The Department of Operational Support seeks a remote consultant to provide technical support for an Aeromedical Evacuation (AME) module pilot. The role involves preparing documentation, developing training content, and supporting practical familiarisation activities for UN personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the AME Pilot Scenario and Field Test Package, including pre‑activity preparation, on‑site technical support, and post‑activity reporting.
• Develop an Initial AME Training Technical Content Package with online training inputs for review and coordination with CDOTS.
• Create a Hands‑on Familiarisation and Practical Training Support Package to enable trainers to deliver practical AME exercises.
• Consolidate all materials into a Final AME Training Technical Package, incorporating feedback, lessons learned, and outstanding technical issues.
• Deliver all documents in editable Word, PowerPoint, or Excel formats and meet the specified deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical documentation and training material development.
• Familiarity with aeromedical or similar emergency response training is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables, and meet tight timelines.
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration with MSS and CDOTS stakeholders.
