Technical Project Manager, Quantum Technology

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead quantum technology projects within its CTO group. You will drive development of quantum devices, coordinating cross‑functional teams and external partners to deliver innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute project plans from conception through implementation, managing schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate internal, external, and matrixed teams to meet milestones and deliver project outcomes.
• Provide technical input, resolve complications, and ensure successful release and deployment of quantum technology projects.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in project management within engineering or technology environments.
• Experience collaborating with system companies, universities, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to communicate status updates, define objectives, and lead cross‑functional initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools (scheduling software, tracking charts, checklists).
• Strong engineering and business process knowledge related to semiconductor and quantum device development.

• Salary range $133,500 – $183,500 per year.
