About the role

The Technical Operations Engineering Co‑Op supports continuous improvement initiatives and business projects within the MedTech department in San Lorenzo, PR. Working under a mentor, the student gains hands‑on experience in engineering processes, project management, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support projects aimed at improving process efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
• Assist with project execution using FPX, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Participate in testing, validation, and documentation of products, processes, equipment, and raw materials.
• Maintain technical and operational documentation, including specifications, reports, and project records.
• Analyze data and prepare reports to communicate project progress and results.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.

Required profile

• At least two years of undergraduate study in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Good academic standing at an accredited university.
• Fluent in English and Spanish with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership experience through student organizations or community involvement is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with analytical tools such as Minitab, Visio, or Power BI.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Data analysis and reporting capabilities.
