Engineering Co‑Op (San Lorenzo, PR)

About the role

The Engineering Co‑Op will support engineering teams in San Lorenzo and Manatí, PR, through hands‑on project work, testing, documentation, and process improvement. The 12‑month term runs from January to December 2027, full‑time (40 hours/week).

Key responsibilities

• Assist engineers with design, prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support CAD modeling and implement simple design updates under guidance.
• Conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and summarize results for engineering teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering drawings, and test reports.
• Support manufacturing, laboratory, or shop‑floor activities as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and present project progress and findings.

Required profile

• Completed freshman year at an accredited university, pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Full‑time student status for the entire co‑op period.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals and problem‑solving methods.
