Technical Manager – AI Software and Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Manager – AI Software and Transformation to lead the regional strategy for applying artificial intelligence across engineering, product development, and business processes within Bosch’s Compute Performance business unit in North America.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the regional AI strategy across roles, functions, and development processes.
• Lead and coach associates through the transition to AI‑assisted roles, enabling adoption of new tools and methods.
• Advise the business unit on AI‑related investments, capability building, and organizational restructuring.
• Collaborate with U.S. locations and global teams to integrate AI capabilities into Compute Performance products.
• Create concepts, architectures, and implementation approaches for deploying AI into Bosch performance computers, including cockpit and ADAS solutions.
• Support acquisition activities with technical expertise and customer‑facing guidance on AI software and embedded AI topics.
• Drive alignment between software engineering, embedded systems, AI development, validation, and product management stakeholders.
• Promote scalable processes, tools, and best practices for AI‑assisted software development, testing, debugging, tracing, and performance optimization.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, Machine Learning or related field.
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions into embedded systems, preferably automotive or safety‑relevant products.
• Hands‑on experience in planning, developing, validating, debugging, tracing, and analyzing performance for embedded AI products.
• Ability to lead the transition from classical software development to AI‑assisted approaches.
• Familiarity with the automotive V‑model lifecycle from requirements to release.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical topics to engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Analytical, strategic mindset with entrepreneurial drive and strong ownership.
• 5+ years in automotive software or embedded systems and 1+ year in AI/ML integration for global product development.

Required skills

• AI/ML model deployment on automotive‑grade compute platforms (CPU, GPU, NPU, heterogeneous SoC).
• AI software development workflows, MLOps, DevOps, CI/CD, and toolchain automation.
• Data‑driven development processes for embedded AI.
• Embedded AI for cockpit, ADAS, and vehicle computing applications.
