Technical Assistance Provider

About the role

The Technical Assistance Provider supports farmers in implementing conservation practices, improving profitability, and expanding market opportunities. This primarily remote, field‑based position involves site visits, virtual training, and collaboration with Pasa’s technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with farmers and act as an advocate for Pasa’s mission.
• Provide administrative and technical guidance for resource conservation plans and NRCS practices.
• Conduct virtual and in‑person training, CPA52 environmental evaluations, and manage a high‑volume enrollment caseload.
• Perform site visits within a 2‑hour radius of residence, collect farm data using program tech tools, and ensure compliance with NRCS standards.
• Supervise conservation interns as needed and communicate field challenges for system improvement.

Required profile

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, agriculture, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of ecosystem services in agricultural settings and experience working with farms.
• Commitment to anti‑oppression principles and passion for Pasa’s mission.

Required skills

• Digital data collection and organization.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.).
• Knowledge of NRCS conservation practice standards and CPA52 evaluations.
• Working proficiency in English; Spanish is a bonus.
• Familiarity with field‑based geographic information systems (GIS).
