About the role

Join PwC’s Tax practice in Chicago as a Tax JD Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals, gaining hands‑on exposure to corporate tax planning, compliance, and post‑deal integration while developing a solid foundation in tax law.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies.
• Participate in the preparation and review of consolidated tax returns and income tax provisions.
• Assist in corporate tax planning and compliance activities to optimize tax positions.
• Engage in tax modeling and consulting to address client‑specific tax challenges.
• Contribute to post‑deal integration and tax‑finance integration projects.
• Collaborate on purchase and sale agreements to facilitate seamless transactions.
• Conduct research on tax regulations and industry‑specific tax issues.
• Apply intellectual curiosity to explore innovative tax solutions and strategies.
• Actively listen to feedback and demonstrate continuous personal and professional growth.
• Work effectively within teams, collaborating with colleagues and clients.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Juris Doctorate degree.
• Commitment to meet educational requirements and pass the Bar exam before a full‑time start.
• Typically in the second year of a three‑year JD program at the time of application.
• Preference for an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity in tax and finance integration.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in diverse environments.
