Tax Consultant – Contract-to-Hire (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a growing local business that needs an experienced Tax Consultant for a short‑term, 90‑day contract with the possibility of a permanent position. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while supporting a dynamic team during a critical growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and S‑Corporation tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Gather, organize, and analyze financial documents and tax‑related information from clients.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Research tax issues and apply current tax laws to client situations.
• Communicate with clients regarding documentation needs, return status, and tax‑related questions.
• Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax‑saving opportunities.
• Maintain organized records for all prepared returns.
• Collaborate with internal team members to meet deadlines during peak tax periods.

Required profile

• Prior experience preparing individual and S‑Corp tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
