Entry-Level Tax Preparer

About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking enthusiastic entry‑level tax preparers to join our seasonal team. You will work directly with clients to accurately complete federal and state tax returns, provide audit support, and ensure filings are submitted electronically.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through tax preparation, explaining forms and requirements.
• Prepare and review accurate year‑end, multi‑year, and multi‑state tax returns.
• Submit electronic filings to the IRS and state agencies and provide printed copies for client signatures.
• Assist clients with IRS audit inquiries and related documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow tax regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible, seasonal hours.

• PTIN certification (or ability to obtain)
