Tax Associate – CPA Candidate (Hybrid, Full-Time)

About the role

Join DHJJ as a Tax Associate and work on partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns while collaborating with colleagues both in person and remotely via Microsoft Teams. You’ll have opportunities to develop client relationships, grow your technical expertise, and advance toward a principal role.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to prepare partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns with accuracy, under coaching and supervision.
• Develop an understanding of client businesses to diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions.
• Plan and organize work to meet deadlines with direction from managers.
• Communicate directly with clients in a timely and professional manner as directed by managers and principals.
• Participate in recruiting initiatives by speaking with potential candidates at career forums.
• Undertake research to support sales and marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA candidate who enjoys helping clients, collaborating on unique situations, and researching solutions.
• Minimum of 2 years of related tax experience and a desire to advance toward a principal position.
