Talent Manager

About the role

Protiviti is hiring a Talent Manager for its Talent Management team in Chicago, with additional openings in Charlotte and Dallas. The Talent Manager acts as an advisor to the business, an ambassador for clients and an advocate for people. The role is hybrid, with in-person presence at a Protiviti office several times per week.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to staff practice personnel on client projects and manage utilization, chargeability and forecasting metrics
• Maintain relationships with business leaders and use reporting tools to analyze schedule accuracy, engagement size, projections and variances
• Resolve staffing and availability conflicts and escalate staffing issues to solution and regional leaders
• Lead staffing calls, review reporting and analysis, and partner with engagement and operations teams to optimize schedules and processes
• Understand key client accounts and engagement scopes, track resource requests, run skills searches and present candidates
• Meet regularly with consultants to understand their skills, career goals and preferences, propose suitable placements and support performance management and career development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (business, human resources, communications, etc.)
• 5+ years in a related field, preferably in a professional services firm; business consulting, operations, HR or recruiting experience highly preferred
• Ability to work independently, handle difficult conversations and travel up to 15%

Required skills

• Fluent Microsoft Office: Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting), Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Interest in data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Willingness to adopt emerging tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Cowork

What we offer

• Salary range of $73,000-$110,000, with an 8% bonus target and a total cash range of $78,840-$118,800
