Systems Administrator

About the role

The American Federation of Musicians and Employers' Pension Fund is seeking a proactive Systems Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of its IT infrastructure. You will manage a diverse environment that supports over 100 network nodes, data‑center operations, and a hybrid workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain a 100+ node network, including servers, backups, telecommunications, and remote‑access services.
• Oversee data‑center cleanliness, safety, hardware/software installation, and vendor relationships for Checkpoint firewalls and switches.
• Manage core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Provide advanced technical support for network, connectivity, and end‑user issues, acting as an escalation point for complex incidents.
• Implement cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and monitor security alerts.
• Maintain backup systems, support disaster‑recovery plans, and assist with compliance audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certifications demonstrating expertise in relevant technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a commitment to high‑availability IT services.
