Systems Administrator III

About the role

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Systems Administrator III to design, implement, and monitor its IT infrastructure across multiple stores. The role focuses on maintaining operating system environments, improving security, and driving efficiency through automation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of Windows, Linux, and AIX operating systems and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Engineer system‑administration solutions for projects and day‑to‑day operations.
• Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, and server hot‑fixes; manage workstation and network hardware upgrades.
• Develop advanced scripts or applications to automate tasks using CLI tools such as PowerShell, AWS CLI, and gcloud.
• Analyze and propose strategies to enhance stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine automation and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Experience administering multiple operating systems in a large, distributed environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex technical projects.
