Systems Administrator I – AWS Cloud Support

About the role

Join the Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts in the State of Georgia as a Systems Administrator I. You will manage and support the agency’s AWS cloud environment, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient operation of its infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager) across development, testing, and production.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot networking components such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, routing, and VPN connections.
• Perform routine administration, patching, and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers.
• Manage IAM users, roles, policies, and permissions following least‑privilege principles and assist with security remediation.
• Automate infrastructure tasks using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CLI, PowerShell, Bash or Python and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and dashboards; provide production support and on‑call incident response.
• Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery processes and ensure system health and capacity planning.

Required profile

• Under general supervision, responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining server, network, and cloud systems.
• Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with security, cloud operations, and development teams.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation and respond to production incidents.

Required skills

• Scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
