System Project Lead – Commercial Vehicle Steering

About the role

Lead the technical project management of commercial vehicle steering systems, covering electro‑hydraulic and fully electric solutions. You will act as the technical counterpart to the Program Manager, ensuring integration and delivery across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering domains (system, software, hardware, functional safety, cybersecurity, mechanical) to deliver integrated steering system solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into system requirements, manage traceability, and conduct impact analysis for design changes.
• Lead system‑level release processes, validation, and documentation in line with ISO 26262, ASPICE, IATF 16949 and cybersecurity standards.
• Plan and execute demonstration vehicle builds, retrofits, and manage technical open points throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain customer relationships as the primary technical interface and drive resolution of cross‑functional issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in automotive/commercial vehicle product development or systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple technical priorities and communicate effectively with global teams.
• Experience with vehicle test procedures, release processes and validation activities.

Required skills

• Systems engineering and requirements management (e.g., DOORS).
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electro‑hydraulic and electric steering technologies.
• Functional safety (ISO 26262) and automotive cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASPICE, IATF 16949.
